Legge: A conjunction. (1) And (2) And yet. The 'and yet' is often nearly, or altogether, = but. It may often be translated by 'if' (3) It is used idiomatically, or for the rhythm, after adverbs. (4) After dei3 (and sometimes ke3 ), and before a verb, it forms the passive of that verb. (5) = or (6) ... (7) It is often followed by yi3 , yi3ye3 , ... (8) Used for ru3, you. (9) a mere expletive. .
